What is CPR?
Cardiopulmonary resuscitation, commonly known as CPR, is an emergency first aid procedure that can be used if be used if someone is not breathing properly, choking or if their heart has stopped.
Statistics clearly prove that if more people know and feel comfortable with CPR and basic life support, more lives could be saved. Immediate CPR can greatly increase victim’s chance of survival.
During this one-time four hour workshop, we will learn the latest CPR guidelines, along with hands on learning of the CPR technique. Basic first aid will also be covered, as time allows.
Instructor: Debby Tamir, of Darkaynu Childbirth Education and Guidance (www.darkaynu.com), American Red Cross certified CPR instructor and Lamaze Certified Childbirth Educator. Prior to her Aliyah to Northern Israel 9 years ago, Debby worked as a New York State Licensed EMT, and served as a volunteer EMT on her local ambulance corp.
Cost: 100 NIS per participant; 150 NIS for a couple.
Number of participants limited to twenty. Minimum number of participants required.
Please note that payment in full will be expected for any cancellation made less than one week prior to the date.
For those interested: American Red Cross certification – $27, to be paid directly to American Red Cross, with written exam administered by Debby directly after the course.
